He graduated in 1970 with a BFA, majoring in Sculpture, from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. In 1970 Roger moved to British Columbia and taught pottery in Vancouver for three years. He then moved to Denman Island, and apprenticed with Byron Jonstad. He opened his own studio on Denman Island in partnership with Gordon Hutchins. In 1980 he moved to Metchosin where he currently makes his living creating fine functional stoneware pottery and some raku. His creations include kitchenware, dinner sets, lamps, sinks and small sculptures. Special orders are always welcomed. click to enlarge
