Norene Schmuck 6178 Andover Road, Sooke, BC (East Sooke) 250-642-7855 • Email: nschmuck@stinkingfishstudiotour.com The mosaic Art form has captivated my interest for many years and shows no sign of letting go. The endless possibilities of using recycled china dishes fuels my love of collecting, scouring the thrift stores, sourcing new materials to add to my collection. Piece by piece the china bits are hand cut shaped and glued in place then grouted and polished taking many hours to create one composition. The versatility of this timeless mosaic art form lends itself perfectly to creating 3D pieces, installations, and wall hangings for indoors or out. My inspirations come from old tapestries, nature, my garden and sometimes the patterns on the dishes themselves. click to enlarge
