She works with exotics as well as materials she finds in her immediate environment and her extensive flower gardens. Mixing elements from the sea, field, marsh, woods and the cultivated garden, she uses many different methods of preservation to allow for use of a variety of natural materials. Interesting objects and animal parts have found their way into her compositions to enhance and evoke a variety of essences from the natural world. Her work is highly sculptural and she creates pieces both for hanging on the wall and for freestanding container arrangements. click to enlarge
