Artists need a little strife and pandemonium to get in touch with that inner angst, or rise above it, to bring out the beauty in their art. Kay has dogs. Lots and lots of big, loud, demanding, wonderful dogs. While her subject matter is invariably figurative (the musician, the dancer) and animal (usually canine), it shares the canvas with her interest in exploring form, humour, movement, colour and texture.
