My work starts with sketches: planning the composition. I find my ideas everywhere through Inspiration>> Music: (Jazz, Blues and more>> I always paint to music) Art history: Picasso, Kandinsky, William Tolliver, Diego Rivera, Freda Kahlo, Rousseau ... ... the irreverent irony of Joseph Beuys ... and the cartoons of Chuck Jones.
"I am inspired by a love of music and movies; by the story and the feeling expressed in a single frame of film, in a single photograph, a piece of music, or in a painting."
Paintings are Oil or Acrylic on rag & silk textured Canvas.
